Childebrand (678 – 743 of 751) was 'n Frankiese hertog (dux). Hy was die buite-egtelike seun van Pepyn van Herstal en Alpaida, en die broer van Karel Martel.[1][2][3] Hy is gebore in Autun, waar hy later dood is. Hy was getroud met Emma van Austrasië. Hy ontvang heerskappy oor die Koninkryk van Boergondië van sy vader en word hierdeur 'n hertog.[4][5] Saam met sy broer speel hy 'n beslissende rol in die verdrywing van die Sarasene uit Frankryk, toe hy Marseille, een van die grootste stede wat steeds in die hande van die Oemajjads was, verower.[3]

Sommige navorsers is van mening dat Childebrand die halfbroer van Karel Martel was aan vaderskant.[2][7] Sy sterfdatum is ook 'n omstrede kwessie aangesien sommige bronne sy sterfjaar as 743 aangee, en andere as 751.[4]
