On 5 Juin, 2004, Ronald Reagan, the 40th Preses o the Unitit States, died efter haein suffered frae Alzheimer's disease for awmaist 10 years. A seiven-day state funeral for Reagan wis held shortly efter his daith.[1]

His casket wis displayed at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Californie, then flewn tae Washington, D.C. on Juin 9 for a service, public viewing and tributes at the U.S. Capitol.[1]

The state funeral wis executed bi the Military District of Washington (MDW) and wis the first syne the funeral of Lyndon B. Johnson in 1973.[1] Richard Nixon, who lead ower Johnson's funeral, declined tae hae a state funeral in 1994.

His funeral wis held on 11 Juin, 2004. He wis buried at the Reagan Presidential Library.
