The Apple Pencil Pro is a wireless stylus pen designed and developed by Apple for the use with supported iPad tablets.[1][2]

The Apple Pencil Pro was announced alongside the iPad Pro (7th generation) and iPad Air (6th generation) on May 7, 2024. It connects and communicates wirelessly via Bluetooth.[3][4] The Apple Pencil Pro is currently only compatible with those iPads.

Apple has promoted the Apple Pencil Pro as an upgrade to the original Apple Pencil. The system requirements for the Apple Pencil Pro are iPadOS 17.5 or later.[5]

The Apple Pencil Pro comes with features as Low latency, Pixel-perfect precision, Double tap, Pressure sensitivity and the Apple Pencil hover.[6][7]
