B.o.B quickly rose to fame, after his commercial debut single, "Nothin' on You" (featuring Bruno Mars). The song reached at number one in both the United States and the United Kingdom. He would later release his third single, "Airplanes" (featuring Hayley Williams), which also topped several music charts. The album's fifth single, "Magic" (featuring Rivers Cuomo), became his third top ten hit on the US Billboard Hot 100. B.o.B's debut studio album, which was preceded by two EPs and several mixtapes, was eventually Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The singles "So Good", "Both of Us" and "Out of My Mind" (featuring Nicki Minaj), followed behind, with the former two being Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The album itself debuted at number five on the US Billboard 200.
