The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP),[nb 1] also known as The Centenarian,[7][nb 2] is a centre-left,[8] social democratic political party in Bulgaria.[9] The BSP is a member of the Socialist International, Party of European Socialists,[10] and Progressive Alliance.[11] Although founded in 1990 in its modern form, it traces its political heritage back to the founding of the BRSDP in 1891.[12] It is also Bulgaria's largest party by membership numbers.[13]
