Carloforte (U Pàize in Ligurian, literally: the village, the town) is a fishing and resort town located on Isola di San Pietro[2] (Saint Peter's Island), approximately 7 kilometres (4 miles) off the southwestern coast of Sardinia, in the Province of South Sardinia, Italy. It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy").[3]
