Christopher Randall Borland (born December 26, 1990) is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Wisconsin Badgers, and was selected by the 49ers in the third round of the 2014 NFL draft. He was one of the first NFL players to retire early in his career due to potential concerns of mid-term brain damage from football.[1]
