Doto Mashaka Biteko (born December 30, 1978) is a Tanzanian politician and a member of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi political party. He was elected MP representing Bukombe in 2015.[1][2][3]
He was appointed as the Minister of Minerals on 9 January 2019 by President John Magufuli.[4][5][6] He continued his tenure as the Minister of Minerals under the new president Samia Suluhu Hassan until 31 August 2023. On 1 September 2023, he was promoted in the role of Vice Prime Minister of Tanzania, only the third ever person to hold the title.[7] At the same time, he was given the docket as the Minister of Energy.[8]
