Douglas L. Peterson is the president and chief executive officer of S&P Global[1] (NYSE: SPGI),[2] formerly McGraw Hill Financial. He became president and chief executive officer in November 2013. Peterson has served on S&P Global’s Board of Directors since July 2013. In June 2024, Peterson announced his plans to retire from the position of CEO and step down, with S&P Global Ratings President Martina Cheung replacing him. [3][4] Doug originally joined the company as president of Standard & Poor's Ratings Services in 2011.[5][6]
