The European Society of Health and Medical Sociology (ESHMS) is a non-profit society dedicated to advancing the sub-discipline of health sociology and medical sociology[1]. It was founded the 28-29 August 1983 at the University of Stirling, United Kingdom. Magdalena Sokolowska was the first president of the society[2][3].
