Hamid Seifi (Persian: حمید سیفی born on 10 Khordad 1356 in Nahavand) is a wrestler and former member of the national wrestling team of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a university professor and a writer from Iran. He has a doctorate in management and planning in sports and is the champion of the Asian Games in 2005 and 2006 in China and Kazakhstan,[1] the world student champion in 2002 and 2004 in Canada and Poland, and the champion of the 2006 World Cup in Iran. He is also a member of the faculty and a lecturer of the Iran University of Science and Technology, and in his career, he has the director general of sports and youth of Hamadan province[2], the head of the talent search committee of the wrestling federation[3], and the director general of physical education of Tehran University of Science and Technology. At the age of 14, he started wrestling in the Azadegan Club of Nahavand city under the supervision of Aziz Saif and during his professional career he was able to win several world and Asian titles.

Hamid Seifi continued his studies after his championship career. He has a doctorate degree in sports management and planning.

He has been the general director of physical training of Iran University of Science and Technology for several years and a member of the faculty of the university. He is also the head of the talent search committee of Iran Wrestling Federation and the general director of sports and youth of Hamedan province.

He also worked as a wrestling expert and analyst in the Iran Sports program of Radio Sports.


Hamid Seifi continued his studies after his championship career. He has a doctorate degree in sports management and planning.
