Midi La Nuit is a film production company based in Montreal and founded in 2010 by Academy Award Nominee Maria Gracia Turgeon[1] and Annick Blanc[2][3][4][5].
The company has films that have been selected in multiple major film festivals, such as feature films Who Do I Belong To by Meryam Joobeur at Berlinale[6][7] and Hunting Daze by Annick Blanc at SXSW[8] and Karlovy Vary[9]. Multiple short films produced by the company has been selected in major festivals, such as Fauve by Jérémy Comte at Telluride and Sundance, where the film won the Special Jury Award in 2018[10][11], and Pre-Drink by Marc-Antoine Lemire, which won the Best Canadian Short Film at TIFF in 2017[12].
Two short films produced by Midi La Nuit were nominated at the Oscars, meaning Fauve by Jérémy Comte in 2019[13][14] and Brotherhood by Meryam Joobeur in 2020[15][16], both in the Best Live Action Short Film category.
The company is currently developing new short and feature films.
