Draft:Ottoman Navy in Caucasus

The Ottoman navy in the Caucasus consisted of three captaincies; the Caspian (Hazar) Captaincy, the Fasa (Riyon) and the Kura (Kür) Captaincy. Although not as powerful as the Mediterranean navy, they were an important factor to ensure the control of Georgia and Azerbaijan.[1]
