Edgecombe County (/ˈɛdʒkəm/ EJ-kum or /ˈɛdʒkoʊm/ EJ-kohm)[1][2] is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 census, the population was 48,900.[3] Its county seat is Tarboro.[4]
