Gaykhatu (Mongolian script:ᠭᠠᠶᠢᠬᠠᠯᠳᠤ; Mongolian: Гайхалт, romanizedGaikhalt, lit.'Surprising')[1] was the fifth Ilkhanate ruler in Iran. He reigned from 1291 to 1295. His Buddhist baghshi gave him the Tibetan name Rinchindorj (Standard Tibetan: རིན་ཆེན་རྡོ་རྗེ, lit.'Jewel Diamond') which appeared on his paper money.
