Lenar Marie Ledet Whitney (born February 1959) is an American businesswoman from Houma, Louisiana, who is a Republican former member of the Louisiana House of Representatives for District 53 in Terrebonne Parish.[1] She was a member of the Louisiana delegation of the Republican National Committee. Whitney lost her election on Saturday April 6, 2024 for an additional term on the RNC. Whitney was soundly defeated by Gena Gore. Whitney lost her bid for a second term in the runoff election held on November 21, 2015. A year earlier, she had been an unsuccessful candidate in the nonpartisan blanket primary for Louisiana's 6th congressional district seat.
