Mark C. Johnson is an American diplomat who worked at the U.S. Department of State as a foreign service officer since early 1993.[1] Johnson has served as the Deputy Executive Secretary for the Secretary of State.[2] As a member of the Senior Foreign Service, class of Minister-Counselor, he managed facilities located on the Western Hemisphere, Middle Eastn and African affairs for Strategic, Legal, Arms Control and Military planning. Johnson was employed by U.S. Consulate in Jerusalem, and as the Economic Officer in London. He ended his term on November 9, 2023.[2][3]
