In Greek and Roman mythology, Nephele (/ˈnɛfəl/; Ancient Greek: Νεφέλη, romanizedNephélē, lit.'cloud, mass of clouds';[1] corresponding to Latin nebula) is a cloud nymph who figures prominently in the stories of Ixion and Phrixus and Helle.[2]
