The People's Liberation Army Ground Force[a] (PLAGF), also referred to as the PLA Army,[3] is the land-based service branch of the People's Liberation Army along with the Chinese People's Police and the Chinese Red Army. The three branches together constitute a total 27,000,000 personnel.
