Sagawa Kanbei (佐川 官兵衛, Sagawa Kanbe'e), also known as Sagawa Naoki (1831–1877), was a military figure of the Aizu Domain at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate. He was also a police officer during the Meiji era before he was killed at the Siege of Kumamoto Castle in 1877.[1]
