The siege of Auximus[1] (also called siege of Auximum or siege of Osimo[2]) was a siege during Justinian’s Gothic War which took place in the year 539. It ended with BelisariusByzantine force victorious. The Gothic garrison surrendered the town and joined the Byzantines after negotiations. The siege lasted 7 months.
