Swanscombe and Greenhithe is a recent renaming of the ancient parish of Swanscombe, covering Swanscombe and Greenhithe. The parish included much of the Ebbsfleet Valley new town development until 2019. The local council is Swanscombe and Greenhithe Town Council.
