Usage

Place this template at the top of articles where the lead section needs to be rewritten. Include the current date and the reason the re-write is needed on the talk page or in the reason parameter, like this:

Notes

This template will categorize tagged articles into Category:Wikipedia introduction cleanup and Category:Articles covered by WikiProject Wikify.

Use this cleanup template to indicate that the lead section of an article may need to be rewritten.

This template prefers inline formatting of parameters.

This template contains a self-reference (it refers to Wikipedia in its contents).
