Welcome! I am proud to serve as a volunteer editor for the Wikimedia Foundation. My goal is to aid in the mission of disseminating free, trustworthy information to the public. My principal region of expertise is Latin America. I have academic degrees in history, economics, international relations, and non-profit management. I also have a substantial academic background on archaeology and cultural anthropology. Most of my work in Wikipedia reflects a mixture of these different subjects.

Greetings! Encantado que me honres con tu visita. I am glad that destiny has crossed our paths. Likely you are here either in gratitude or in discord for a past action of mine; regardless of the case, surely you are interested in learning more about me—such is the reason why we are all here, to acquire, share, and provide greater knowledge. That is the beauty of a project like Wikipedia. And let me assure you that while our opinions may be in disagreement, I hold no ill will towards you as a living, breathing, thinking individual.
My editing history in Wikipedia officially began in 2006, but I remember editing without an account since an earlier date (perhaps 2004 or 2005). I did not make much use of the account until 2007, when I began editing association football articles. I quickly realized that there was missing information about Peruvian sports history and cultural traditions, so I improved those areas based on personal knowledge. As I became more educated, I also expanded my contributions to other areas, particularly international relations and military history—both subjects of personal interest, with the latter being the reason behind my username.
During the years that I have worked in Wikipedia, I have created, translated, and expanded numerous articles; I have also created some templates and have added several valuable images to Wikimedia Commons—greatly thanks to having carefully studied Peruvian copyright law. I have also helped in restoring old images to their past glory, but there are editors who do a much better job. On a more administrative side, I enjoy serving as a mediator in conflict resolution, often volunteering to provide a third opinion and to discuss article deletions. However, my greatest enjoyment comes from researching information and writing articles for Wikipedia; a personal desire is to help make this project more than just a free encyclopedia "that anyone can edit," but rather reinforce it as "the encyclopedia that anyone can read."
As for my academic credentials and personal life, I am open to sharing information on it if asked and given a good reason for it. Most of it is already available in this very page, and the rest can be found from my editing history. Feel free to send me an e-mail or a message in my talk page; that said, while I can guarantee a response to the latter, I cannot do the same for the former. Lastly, I am also open to serving as a mentor for new contributors.
I consider it important that featured article contributors receive the proper attribution of authorship for their work, even if it is freely licensed.
