Vang Pao (RPA: Vaj Pov [vâ pɔ̌], Lao: ວັງປາວ; 8 December 1929 – 6 January 2011)[4] was a major general in the Royal Lao Army[5] and later a leader of the Hmong American community in the United States.[6][7]
