Lo sfratto pregiudica la salute e la connessione sociale delle comunità;^[1] causando gravi e progressivi problemi per i soggetti che lo subiscono o temono. Milioni di famiglie in tutto il mondo vengono sfrattate ogni anno; ma, si sa molto poco sull'impatto che lo sfratto ha sulle loro vite e sulla loro salute.^[2]
