Thomas Earl Petty, detto Tom (Gainesville, 20 ottobre 1950 – Santa Monica, 2 ottobre 2017[1]), è stato un cantautore, musicista, produttore discografico e attore statunitense, noto per essere stato il frontman dei gruppi Mudcrutch e Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, nonché membro fondatore del supergruppo Traveling Wilburys.
