Categoriae taxinomicae

Phylum (Graece φῦλον, 'genus, gens, natio') est stratum gradus taxinomici sub regno et supra classem. Exemplis sunt Chordata, Arthropoda, Mollusca, Brachiopoda. Nomen eiusdem rei in taxinomia botanica usitate est divisio, sed International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants haec nomina idem valere decernit.[1][2]
