Stara Zagora (Bulgarie: Област Стара Загора oblast Stara Zagora, umwhile name Stara Zagora okrug) is a province o sooth central Bulgarie. It is namit efter its admeenistrative an industrial centre—the ceety o Stara Zagora—the saxt-biggest toun in the kintra. The province embraces a territory o 5,151.1 km²[1] that is dividit intae 11 municipalities wi a tot population, as o December 2009, o 350,925 indwallers.[2][3][4]
In the sootheastren pairt o the province on the edge o Radnevo Municipality thare is a coal production facility. Atween 1934 an 1949, the province includit pairts o the present Kardzhali Province.[5]
