Adeliza of Louvain

Adeliza of Louvain (c. 1103 – 1151)[1] was Queen of England from 1121 to 1135. She was King Henry I's second wife. She married Henry when she was 18. They had no children. Adeliza was important in making French poetry and art more popular.[2] When Henry died in 1135, Stephen of Blois became the King of England. Adeliza lived in a convent for three years. She married William d'Aubigny and had seven children.[3] In 1150, she moved to Brabant. She died in 1151.
