Christianity in Sri Lanka

Christianity is a small religion in Sri Lanka. People think that Christianity came to Sri Lanka, which is close to India, when Christianity came to India in 52 AD. [1] Christian traders came to in Sri Lanka in 500AD and created a church.[2][3] Roman Catholicism came to Sri Lanka by the Portuguese in 1505. People were converted by the Dutch people in the 17th century. Christians increased by 10% of the population. This number has fallen after Dutch people left. Christians in Sri Lanka are from Tamil, Sinhalese and Parangi groups.
