Neurodevelopmental disorders[1] are mental conditions that affect the development of the nervous system, including the brain and spinal cord. According to the DSM-5, these disorders usually begin in early childhood and can continue into adulthood. They impact various areas of life, such as personal, social, academic, and occupational functioning. Symptoms and impairments can vary widely among individuals with the same diagnosis.[2]
