Terry Gou (Chinese: 郭台銘; pinyin: Guō Táimíng; born 18 October 1950) is a Taiwanese businessman. He is the founder and chairman of Foxconn,[2] the world's largest contract manufacturer of electronics, where it employs 1.2 million people and is its largest private employer and exporter.[3]

On 17 April 2019, Gou announced his plans to run for President in the Kuomintang primary for the 2020 presidential election.[4] He lost the Kuomintang nomination to Han Kuo-yu on 15 July 2019. He is thinking of running for President under an Independent bid.[5]
