The second season of the American animated anthology series What If...? is based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name. It is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), but each episode is set in a different universe. Jeffrey Wright stars as the voice of the Watcher, the narrator of the series. Many actors from the MCU movies return to voice their characters, while others are replaced by other voice actors.[1]
The season premiered on Disney+ on December 22, 2023 and ended on December 30, after nine episodes. It is part of Phase Five of the MCU. It got positive reviews. A third season is in development.
